What is an air-operated diaphragm pump?
Pneumatic diaphragm pump is a new type of conveying machinery, using compressed air as the power source, for all kinds of corrosive liquids, liquids with particles, high viscosity, volatile, flammable, highly toxic liquids, can be sucked out. The pneumatic diaphragm pump is mainly composed of two parts, namely the transmission part and the diaphragm cylinder head. The transmission part is the driving mechanism that drives the diaphragm to retract and stir. Its transmission forms include mechanical transmission, pneumatic transmission and hydraulic transmission.
How does air-operated diaphragm pump work?
When the air-operated diaphragm pump is connected to the compressed air, the valve controls the compressed air to push the diaphragm to the right, while the diaphragm squeezes the medium in the right diaphragm chamber to discharge the medium out of the pump chamber. The diaphragm not only acts as a conveyor of the medium, but also isolates the compressed air from the medium in the air-operated diaphragm pump chamber.
When operating with an air-operated diaphragm pump, you need to pay attention to the following points:
1. Ensure that the maximum particles contained in the fluid do not exceed the maximum safety of the pump through the diameter standard of the particles.
2. Tighten the pump and each connecting pipe joint to prevent electrostatic sparks caused by vibration and impact of the split pump.
3. Periodically check and test the reliability of the grounding system.
4. Keep good exhaust and ventilation, away from flammable, explosive and heat sources.
5. The intake pressure should not exceed the maximum allowable pressure of the pump, and compressed air higher than the rated pressure of the pipeline pump may cause personal injury and property loss and damage to the performance of the pump.
