Forced lubrication is a plastic processing process lubrication method that forces the pressure of the lubricant by external force to establish a thicker lubricating film between the contact surface of the tool and the machined part. The purpose of forced lubrication is to improve lubrication conditions, reduce friction, reduce deformation resistance and tool and power consumption, enhance deformation processes and improve product quality. The oil pump is used to pump the oil from the oil pan through the oil passage to the crankshaft connecting rod, piston skirt, and gas distribution mechanism to achieve lubrication. Forced lubrication has been used in metal plastic processing methods such as drawing, extrusion and stamping.
When pulling the steel wire, according to the way of applied power, forced lubrication is divided into two categories: hydrostatic lubrication and hydrodynamic lubrication. Hydrostatic lubrication refers to the pressurization of lubricants with a high-pressure pump and then conveyed to the contact surface between the drawing die and the steel wire. In hydrodynamic lubrication, the establishment of lubricating film pressure relies on the lubricant adhering to the surface of the wire to pass through the pressure pipe and the gap between the drawing die wall and the steel wire at a certain speed, and the pressurization caused by the hydrodynamic effect. When the lubricant used is liquid, it is called wet hydrodynamic lubrication, and when powdery solid lubricant is used, it is called dry hydrodynamic lubrication.
Advantages of forced grease lubrication: 1. The use of external oil cooler, the cooling effect is good. 2. It is convenient to monitor grease and oil filtration. 3. By adjusting the flow of lubricating oil, the oil level of the bearing box can be kept constant. 4. Using external oil tank, lubricating oil reserves are large and safety is good.
